Welcome to Vintage Academe — the on-line boutique and magazine dedicated to the very best in vintage fashion and haute couture.
Additions to the collection
We’ve recently made some key acquisitions, important couture, ready to wear and non-labelled but simply gorgeous pieces. Just for starters, there’s a sharp little, historically-based jacket by John Galliano; vibrant body-con bandage dress by Hervé Léger; sexy cut-out design dress by Gaultier and a magnificent floor-length cape by Courreges, which we hope will whet your appetite.
Vintage Academe and our recently-acquired sweetly seductive Liberty print dress by Bill Gibb, featured in Vogue (and its on-line magazine Vogue.com). Highlights from our collection have also been chosen for a fashion shoot in the Spring/Summer issue of Toni&Guy’s magazine. The glossy style title is available through their salons across the country.
Click one of the images below to shop all of the pieces featured in the issue.
Many but not all of the new pieces are on the site now but all can be viewed by appointment at Designer Alterations, 220a Queenstown Road, Battersea. We also keep a larger selection of handbags and accessories there too. Email clare@vintageacademe.com to make an appointment or to make a specific enquiry. We would love more! If you have any pieces from the past century of similar quality that you would like to sell, please do get in touch.
